The freezing of being - La congélation de l'être

"Gainig mastery within the supreme and timeless primordial ground, by awakening to it, and opening up to it, in all its immediacy, is meditation free of any fixed frame of reference. It is like a drop of water blending with the ocean and becoming the ocean without altering it, or space within a vase blending with the space outside without altering it. Although there is no distinction between inner and outer with respect to ordinary mind versus the ground of being, what amounts to such a division is caused by perceiving in terms of identity (dag-dzin). Just as water, which exists in a naturally free-flowing state, freezes into ice under the influence of cold wind, so the ground of being exists in a naturally free state , with the entire spectrum of samsara established solely by the influence of perceiving in terms of identity.

Parvenir à la maîtrise au sein de la base primordiale suprême et intemporelle en s'y éveillant et en s'y ouvrant, dans toute son immédiateté, c'est la méditation libre de tout cadre de référence déterminé. C'est comme une goutte d'eau se mêlant à l'océan et devenant l'océan sans le modifier, ou l'espace dans un vase se mélangeant à l'espace extérieur sans le modifier. Bien qu'il n'y ait pas de distinction entre intérieur et extérieur en ce qui concerne l'esprit ordinaire par rapport à la base d'être, ce qui amène à une telle distinction est dû au fait de percevoir en terme d'identité (dag dzin). Tout comme l'eau, qui existe dans un état liquide libre, gèle (et se transforme) en glace sous l'influence du vent froid, de même la base d'être existe en un état naturellement libre, avec le spectre entier du samsara établi uniquement du fait de l'influence de la perception en termes d'identité.
