Einstein, Bohr and dependant origination

The phenomenal world is just like dream. Phenomena appear solid, but they do not exist in the same way as they appear. There is no solid reality behind them; from the very beginning, they are empty of intrinsic existence. There is nothing but a dynamic stream of ever-changing, interdependent relationships.

The realists (Einstein) think that the world exists independently of the fact that we observe, that this world has properties... whereas Bohr convinced himself that we should renounce imagining that there is a world wiith all its properties and that the only thing that matters is the properties that we can observe... The Copenhague vision (bohr's and his folowers') state that there is what we can observe and nothing else.

Le monde phénoménal est semblable à un rêve. Les phénomènes semblent solides mais il n'existent pas de la même manière qu'ils apparaissent. Il n'y a pas de réalité solide derrière eux; depuis le tout début, ils sont vides d'existence intrinsèque. Il n'y a rien d'autre qu'un flux dynamique de relations interdépendantes et toujours mouvantes.

Les réalistes (Einstein) pensent que le monde existe indépendamment du fait que nous l'observons , que ce monde a des propriétés...tandis que Bohr s'est convaincu qu'il fallait renoncer à imaginer qu'il y a un monde avec toutes ses propriétés et que la seule chose qui compte, c'est les propriétés que l'on peut observer... La vision de Copenhague (de Bohr et ses élèves) affirme qu'il y a ce qu'on peut observer et rien d'autre.
