Like a flash of lightning on a dark and cloudy night,
Which sheds its brilliant light for just an instant,
Every now and then, through the buddhas’ power,
A mind of virtue occurs briefly to people of the world.
Comme l’éclair dans la nuit sombre et nuageuse
Diffuse sa lumière brillante juste un instant,
De temps en temps, par la grâce des Bouddhas,
Un esprit vertueux apparaît brièvement aux hommes de ce monde.
