Emaho!* -- Merveilleux!*

Samantabhadra is free at the time when the seal of the inner expanse's sphere of innate presence is rent open, [this sphere of innate presence] rises from the ground ans is seen as the ground manifestation.
Through what is [Samantabhadra] free? ...He is free through the prajna of self-appearances being realized and appearing as the play of wisdom and their being differentiated from the characteristics of entities, which are other appearances.
How is [Samantabhadra] free? He is free by the way of realizing [self-appearances] to be self-appearances, through differenciating them from other-appearances.
What is freedom? Through the power of being without adventitious stains, freedom does not arise from anything other but merely consists of revealing primordially free wisdom as complete wisdom...
In which location is [Samantabhadra] free? ... The primal alpha-purity that rests in its very own place is free as the original inner expanse... Thus at the time of the unceasing wisdom that is like eternity, the changeless dharmakaya, the kaya that is like vajra, is endowed with the water of uniterrupted samadhi that is like nectar and the light of unobscured awakened mind that is like the sun and the moon. Therefore, this is called "having seized awereness's very own place.

Tulku Tshulthrim Zangpo (Tulku Tsullo) From the book: A Lullaby to awaken the Heart: the Aspiration Prayer of Samantabhadra, and its commentaries, Wisdom Publications.

* Why Emaho? Since a very long time I wished to read a translation of the commentary that Tulku Tsullo (C. R. Lama's root teacher) wrote about the Aspiration of  Samantabhadra, one of the core Dzogchen texts of the Northern Treasures, recited, studied and highly revered and thaught in all Nyingmapas traditions. Recently I had the chance to discover that this work had been done, including also the commentaries of Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa and of the Fifteenth Karmapa. Enjoy!
