confidence -- confiance

A person might find himself with nothing to eat, no clothes to wear, and no house to live in; but if his mind is filled with faith in his teacher and the Three Jewels, that person will both live and die with his heart always joyful and confident.

On peut se retrouver sans rien à manger, sans vêtements, sans logis, mais si notre esprit est empli de la confiance dans notre maître et dans les Trois Joyaux, on aura le coeur joyeux et confiant à la fois dans notre vie et au moment de notre mort.
